Job summary
Abrazo Community Health Network Nursing Education Department is seeking a Nursing Educator to lead educational programming across nursing units. The role partners with facility leadership to assess learning needs, develop curricula, and deliver programs that improve patient care and staff competency.
The educator will mentor staff, coordinate orientation and continuing education, and contribute to policy and clinical practice improvements, aligning with organizational goals and accreditation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- Current State Licenses & Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP).
- Two years of nursing experience in Perinatal Services (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Supports educational needs for assigned units/clinics with classroom, clinical experiences and learning technologies.
- Implements comprehensive education programs to meet orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the nursing staff.
- Delivers/coordinates educational programs (Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific and specialty curricula) to support competence and professional growth.
- Mentors colleagues, other nurses, students and others as appropriate.
- Evaluates nursing education activities for continuing education credits and keeps abreast of policy updates.
