Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine is seeking a Nurse Instructor, Registry in the Nursing Perinatal Admin department. The role is onsite for 2 days weekly and based in the greater Chicagoland area.

You will teach women's health education classes, develop new programs, and coordinate with physicians and staff to promote and evaluate education initiatives. Responsibilities include creating class materials, administering evaluations, maintaining resource listings, and leading an advisory board.

Qualifications

• RN License required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• ADN must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete BSN within 30 months.
• Minimum 3 years maternity nursing experience.
• Strong presentation and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Teach patient and staff education classes (Maternity Unit Tours, etc.).
• Review and obtain approval for educational materials.
• Maintain and expand resource and referral listings for women.
• Develop annual plan for educational programs and resources.
• Author patient education materials with staff assistance.
• Organize advisory board of health professionals.
• Plan and implement outreach events for employees and patients.
• Collaborate with hospital departments to increase referrals and satisfaction.
• Conduct Quality Improvement projects to improve satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by senior management.
