Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking an experienced RN to perform venous access and administer infusion therapy, ensuring patient safety and proper technique. The role involves leading unit staff, mentoring others, and driving quality improvements during night shifts in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 1+ charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ nursing experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN scope, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses.
• Assess patients to determine venous access methods and address complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients needing venous access and infusion therapy.
• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Monitor nursing staff performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans to meet standards.
• Foster professional growth by identifying training needs and mentoring staff.
• Resolve conflicts among staff promptly to maintain a positive work environment.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to improve patient care.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and health care team to ensure coordinated care.
• Mentor and precept new staff with hands-on training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies to maintain high standards.
