Job summary

AltaMed Health Services in Commerce, CA is seeking a Women's Health Coordinator to provide perinatal education and one-on-one counseling through CPSP. The CPHW bridges services to ensure easy access for patients and works with clinic leaders and clinicians to implement program goals.

The role requires OB/GYN experience, a Medical Assistant diploma, EHR proficiency, and a valid BLS certification. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred based on population served, with in-person duties at our

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school and minimum of one year OB/GYN experience.
• Experience with referrals.
• Training and experience in venipuncture.
• EHR proficiency.
• Certification as a Family Planning Health Worker preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred depending on population served.
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide perinatal and newborn education and counseling through the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP).
• Develop and structure a seamless interface among CPSP services to provide easy access for patients.
• Represent the clinic in all matters dealing with the delivery of these services.
• Collaborate with the Clinic Director, Women's Health Director, Medical Providers, and Nursing staff to implement goals and objectives of the programs.
