Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Part-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide perinatal care, obstetrical assessment, and management of prenatal to postpartum patients at our Weymouth location. The role includes first assist at cesarean births and on-call coverage, with strong collaboration within the labor and delivery team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nurse Midwifery and a CNM license, with prior nurse midwifery experience preferred; Massachusetts credentialing is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nurse midwifery program; CNM certification/license highly preferred.
• Current active CNM license; eligibility for Medical Staff Services credentialing in Massachusetts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide perinatal care, obstetrical assessment and management of prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum patients.
• First assist at cesarean births and manage maternity emergencies as needed.
• Deliver education to patients and families; coordinate with nursing and medical staff.
• Maintain documentation, orders, and referrals per nurse midwifery protocols and regulations.
