Job summary

SGA is seeking a licensed clinical social worker to lead behavioral health services across the Midwest Healthy Start and Start Early programs. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, family-centered approaches, and collaboration with home visitors and medical partners.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work and an Illinois LCSW license, with at least five years of relevant clinical experience in perinatal and maternal-child health settings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license required.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience providing behavioral health services.
• Knowledge of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, crisis intervention, and community behavioral health systems.
• Experience working with pregnant women, infants, families, or maternal and child health populations preferred.
• Trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, behavioral health screenings, and clinical evaluations for Midwest Healthy Start participants.
• Utilize PHQ-9, EPDS, GAD-7, and other validated tools to identify behavioral health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide short-term individual, family, and group counseling.
• Deliver trauma-informed behavioral health services to pregnant/postpartum individuals and families.
• Provide crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals for higher levels of care.
