Job summary

Allied Universal in Independence, KY is looking for a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter to patrol loading areas, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a logistics location.

This unarmed role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma, background check, drug screen, and a valid driver's license where applicable; shifts include day and evening blocks, with pay at $18.22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic; verify authorized entry and document visitor and incident information.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete reports.
• Maintain a visible presence and communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders.
