Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter in Independence, KY. You will patrol, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service at a logistics and distribution site.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, reporting observations, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible, professional presence. Minimums include 18+ years, HS diploma, background check, drug screen, and possible licensing; driving roles require a license.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, building perimeters and other areas.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry and document visitor/incident information accurately.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and report to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain visible presence and communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders.

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, trailer yards, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, driver, and incident information accurately.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location, observe and report unusual conditions, and communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
