Martin County Hospital District in Texas is seeking a Full-time Professional Registered Nurse to join the operating room team. The RN will perform assessments, develop plans of care, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care.
Candidates should have a Texas nursing license, BLS on hire, ACLS within 90 days, and CNOR preferred. Two years of OR experience is preferred.
Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. The hospital opened in 1949 and was replaced in 2012 with a state‑of‑the‑art 18‑bed facility located on I‑20 that has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.
Full‑time Professional Registered Nurse (RN) position in the operating room environment.
Perform assessments, develop plans of care, implement and evaluate care. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians in accordance with current clinical nursing practice. Direct, monitor, and evaluate care delegated to non‑licensed personnel. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to assure safe and accurate delivery of care. Provide technical services in a cross‑functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs, including responsibilities under the discipline of the Laboratory for specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
