Job summary

Terrestris Global Solutions seeks a Perfusionist to support Veteran care in Richmond, VA. You will provide direct patient perfusion by managing heart-lung machines, LVAD/ECMO, and related life support. The role includes pre-surgical planning with surgeons, teaching relatives of cases, and maintaining equipment readiness.

The position requires 2+ years of perfusion experience, ABA/ABCP certification, and a current U.S. license.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in perfusion or related field with perfusion certificate.
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Graduate of an accredited perfusion education program.
• ABCP certification.
• Minimum of 200 clinical cases.
• Experience with open-heart surgery and ECMO.
• Current unrestricted medical licensure in the U.S. or DC.
• BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical perfusion independently or with varying complexity.
• Prepare pre-surgical evaluation and plan with surgeon/anesthesiologist.
• Operate and manage heart-lung machine and life support systems.
• Instruct and educate other staff on perfusion principles and equipment.
• Provide complete perfusion support per surgical plan and adjust as needed.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and equipment readiness.
