Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Perfusionist to support cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO across multiple hospitals. You will operate, troubleshoot and maintain perfusion equipment, while collaborating closely with surgeons and the OR team.

This role requires travel and on‑call responsibilities to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion, 3+ years of experience, and is prepared to complete ABCP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent perfusion program required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience strongly preferred.
• Certification in Cardiovascular Perfusion within 12 months of start date for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs CPB setup, operation, and monitoring during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains perfusion equipment, routine checks, and documentation.
• Assists with ECMO coverage and intra/extra-corporeal support as needed.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff for patient safety.
• Maintains sterile technique and adheres to policy and procedure.
