Job summary

Amsect is seeking a certified clinical perfusionist to provide vital physiological support during cardiac surgery, operating heart-lung machinery to assume cardiac and pulmonary functions and safeguard brain activity. The role requires rapid adaptation to metabolic changes and precise hemodynamic management with devices such as the intra-aortic balloon pump.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Biomedical or related field, 2–3 years of relevant experience, ACP certification and NJ

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Certified Clinical Perfusionist by the ACP and NJ Perfusionist Licensure.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for the physiological support of patients requiring the heart - lung machine during surgery. This includes assuming the functions of the heart and lungs, brain protection and adjusting to minute to minute metabolic changes. Provide hemodynamic support through the use of the intra-aortic balloon pump and other technology.

Requirements

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, & concepts normally acquire through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Bio-Medical or closely related field and two to three years of previous work related experience. Certification required as a Certified Clinical Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ACP) and Perfusionist Licensure by NJ State. Requires analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems and design relatively complex systems and programs.
