Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Perfusionist for an urgent temporary contract assignment in Camden, NJ. The Perfusionist will operate cardiopulmonary bypass equipment, cell saver systems, and advanced circulatory support devices during adult cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope:

• Extracorporeal Circulation: Set up, prime, calibrate, and operate heart-lung machines and ancillary equipment during cardiac and vascular surgeries.
• Hemodynamic Management: Monitor and maintain physiological parameters, blood gases, anticoagulation status, and body temperature during surgical procedures.
• Autotransfusion & Circulatory Support: Manage cell saver systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and mechanical circulatory support devices as clinically indicated.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 20 years of clinical Perfusionist experience [REQUIRED].
• Education & Certification: Graduate of an accredited Perfusion education program and Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or board-eligible [REQUIRED].
• Clinical Adaptability: Demonstrated capability to integrate rapidly into a high-volume surgical environment with minimal onboarding.

Schedule & On-Call Structure:

• Contract Dates: October 12, 2026 – January 9, 2027 (Holiday pay profile applicable).
• Shift Schedule: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts/week).
• On-Call Requirements: 1 call shift per week.
• Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends; flexible availability required based on surgical facility volume and needs.
