Job summary

Orange Beach, City of AL is seeking an Assistant – Performing Arts Center to provide operational and event support for the PAC and municipal performances. The role reports to the PAC Facility Manager and coordinates with vendors, staff and performers to ensure safe, smooth productions. Parts of the job include setup/breakdown, load-ins, rehearsals, and live event support, with a schedule Monday through Friday 9 a.m.

to 3 p.m. and some evenings/weekends for events.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and non-standard hours based on event schedules.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work related to event setup and teardown.

Responsibilities

Assist with technical setup, breakdown, and placement of staging elements and equipment.
Assist with event load-ins and load-outs, returning spaces to proper condition and storage areas.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of PAC equipment and spaces.
Maintain clean, safe working environments across scene, costume, storage, and backstage areas.
Follow safety procedures and municipal protocols during all activities.
Provide general operational support to PAC Facility Manager and vendors during builds, rehearsals, and live events.
Operate City equipment and machinery as assigned, per training and safety requirements.
Assist with show-related tasks in Clerical/Production, Audio Visual Lighting, and Costuming/Set Design as needed.
