Job summary

iXceed Solutions is seeking an experienced Performance Test Architect/Lead to design, develop and execute end-to-end performance testing strategies across enterprise applications, with a focus on OT environments such as SCADA, OMS, ADMS and GIS. The role involves hands-on testing, diagnostics and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead testing activities, manage vendors, analyze bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Hybrid working with two days onsite weekly.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Architect/Lead with 12+ years of expertise in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience designing, developing and executing end-to-end performance testing strategies, preferably within the Utilities or Energy domain.

The role requires experience in Operational Technology (OT) environments, performance monitoring, diagnostics, stakeholder management and troubleshooting complex enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement comprehensive end-to-end performance testing strategies, approaches and execution plans.
• Lead performance testing activities, including requirements gathering, test planning, scripting, execution, monitoring and results analysis.
• Conduct performance testing for Operational Technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, OMS, ADMS and GIS applications.
• Collaborate with multiple vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders to understand performance requirements and establish testing objectives.
• Utilise performance monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics and Dynatrace to identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Analyse application and system performance, identify potential risks and recommend optimisation measures.
• Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Coordinate end-to-end performance testing activities across integrated applications and systems.
• Maintain comprehensive performance testing documentation, test results and analysis reports.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between business teams, development teams, infrastructure teams and external vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of professional experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in end-to-end performance testing, including strategy formulation, scripting, execution and diagnostics.
• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) performance testing, particularly SCADA, OMS, ADMS and GIS systems.
• Experience using performance monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
• Strong understanding of performance test requirements elicitation, workload analysis and performance troubleshooting.
• Proven experience managing multiple vendors and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, client communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify performance risks, analyse system bottlenecks and provide practical recommendations.
• Experience leading performance testing activities across complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working within the Utilities, Energy or Power Distribution domain.
• Understanding of complex Operational Technology environments and integrated enterprise systems.
• Experience coordinating performance engineering activities across multivendor technology landscapes.
