Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer to join a dynamic team at a leading healthcare firm. In this role, you will be a subject matter expert in Tricentis NeoLoad, playing a key part in a migration project. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, modifying, and managing automated performance testing scripts. The individual will be part of the Performance Testing team. You will leverage your expertise to migrate test scripts from LoadRunner to NeoLoad and ensure the performance of critical systems. You will also communicate effectively in collaboration with the systems and development teams to troubleshoot performance and scalability issues.
Key responsibilities include:
• Define and develop performance test plans and automated scripts using industry standard testing tools.
• Utilize Tricentis NeoLoad to conduct performance testing.
• Migrate test scripts and testing processes from LoadRunner to NeoLoad.
• Execute performance tests, analyze and evaluate test results; generate performance metric reports and provide recommendations.
• Assist with analyzing test and operational problems to determine the presence and scope of potential code defects.
• Report errors through a structured defect tracking process and communicate weekly with management verbally and via written detail status reports regarding potential problems and concerns.
• Review and analyze business & system requirements and specifications for performance testability.
• Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of testing tools.
• Expand business knowledge of product benefits, corporate policies, division and department goals and department procedures.
• Work with functional Tester and Development counterparts to ensure adequate coverage for upcoming releases and keep up-to data with system changes that impact performance testing.
• Assist and coordinate with customers in the research, analysis and proposed solutions to test discrepancies and test scenarios.
• Verify satisfaction of internal and external customer’s request and obtain information to create test data.
• Participate in project work group meetings (internal/external peer reviews, walk through, status meetings, PI Planning, etc.).
• Participate in system architecture change reviews and assessment of system capacity impacts.
• Attend on-site meetings as needed (approximately 1-2 times per month).
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (BS) in a technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science, etc.).
• 5-8 years of experience with Tricentis NeoLoad's functionality, technology, scripting capabilities, and features for designing and running load tests, including:
o Ability to write scripts to automate test cases and integrate NeoLoad into CI/CD pipelines.
o Experience in migrating test scripts in LoadRunner to NeoLoad.
o Experience in performance testing concepts and techniques, types of system performance tests and their goals. (Client will consider 3-4 years if candidate is highly capable)
• Experience with the following performance testing toolsets: OpenText Performance Center / LoadRunner, Datadog.
• Experience with at least 2 relational database management systems (e.g., DB2, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Proven proficiency with: SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong understanding with system and application monitoring concepts.
• Strong understanding of Server, Network, Virtualization and Database concepts.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile processes, quality assurance life cycle and testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
• Ability to participate in virtual panel interviews.
• Willingness to work remotely with the ability to come on-site occasionally.

• Experience working in the healthcare industry.
