Description

Job Purpose: As part of GSM's Marketing and E-commerce team, the Performance Marketing Specialist will work closely with other marketing team members and various internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement best-practice marketing, merchandising strategies, and paid media tactics to drive direct-to-consumer traffic, awareness, and revenue for GSM brands and websites.

An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

  • Execute paid media campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, and programmatic networks to drive e-commerce sales.
  • Optimize paid search, social, video, display, and CTV campaigns to maximize Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
  • Develop and manage keyword strategies for search engine marketing (SEM).
  • Assist in creating ad copy, visuals, and landing pages that resonate with outdoor enthusiasts and drive engagement.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily, identify opportunities, and address challenges to maintain efficiency and ROI.
  • Create reporting dashboards using tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and internal reporting platforms.
  • Analyze industry trends, competitor campaigns, and seasonal outdoor activity patterns to inform marketing strategies.
  • Manage traffic for text, display, and video ads across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape and best practices.
  • Suggest website enhancements to improve product selling.
  • Recommend product promotions based on performance marketing data to maximize sell-through.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of or previous experience in the Hunting, Fishing, and Outdoors industry is an asset

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
