About the Role & Team
Performance Marketing is an internal cross‑functional team within The Walt Disney Company's marketing organization. The Performance Marketing team develops and matures ad technologies to achieve data‑driven results on auction‑based or otherwise addressable media platforms. The team works with other paid media and marketing efforts to provide insights, recommendations, and innovative marketing technologies.
This role sits within the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations team. As a Performance Marketing Manager you will partner closely with internal marketing teams, media agencies, and performance marketing activation partners to drive value for a diverse portfolio of Disney brands. You will help shape and execute audience, bidding, optimization, and measurement strategies that maximize media efficiency and effectiveness while contributing to the evolution of Disney's performance marketing capabilities.
What You Will Do
As part of a collaborative performance marketing pod, you will support the planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of performance marketing campaigns across the Disney enterprise. You will work alongside marketing, analytics, technology, agency partners, and platform vendors to design strategically sound campaigns, continuously optimize for success, establish best practices, and advance innovative approaches to performance marketing.
Responsibilities
- Build and implement performance marketing strategy for different Disney brands under the guidance of the Performance Marketing Senior Team Lead.
- Develop and execute a holistic, omni‑platform audience data strategy – including first‑party, second‑party, and third‑party data.
- Develop auction bidding, pacing, and optimization strategies to improve media performance.
- Identify and interpret key media performance drivers, delivering insights to optimize spend in line with business goals.
- Manage ad buying platforms including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok, Google Ads, Google Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Google DV360, and The Trade Desk; interface with internal and external sales and ad operations teams.
- Implement a rigorous test‑and‑learn cadence to benchmark and improve performance marketing in partnership with Marketing Science and Analytics.
- Analyze and communicate learnings from titles, data testing, and performance campaigns in partnership with Marketing Science and Media Agency Analytics teams.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal media and marketing teams and external media agencies to improve overall marketing outcomes.
- Maintain day‑to‑day communication with media agency activation teams to ensure proper campaign implementation.
- Provide knowledge of media technology, buying platforms, and analytics tools to pod members and business stakeholders.
- Share knowledge of performance marketing business processes with pod members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in advertising media (primarily digital), performance marketing, media analytics, or paid social/search/programmatic auction buying.
- Experience with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, and DSPs (Google DV360, Trade Desk, Yahoo, Amazon).
- Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including audience targeting, attribution, measurement, and optimization methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Self‑driven, accountable, well‑organized, and detail‑oriented.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of digital campaign implementation, tracking, tagging, and ad‑serving fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SQL, Tableau, Airtable, or similar data‑visualization tools.
- Experience supporting performance marketing campaigns for entertainment, media, direct‑to‑consumer, or consumer‑facing brands.
- Experience translating business needs into data requirements with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience working with media agencies and external activation partners.
- Exposure to marketing experimentation, incrementality testing, or advanced measurement methodologies.

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Additional Information
This role is based in Burbank, CA and requires a presence four days a week (Monday‑Thursday) with flexibility to work from home on Fridays. The hiring range in California is $129,300.00–$173,300.00 per year, with compensation that may vary based on equity, location, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided. Medical, financial, and other benefits are part of the full compensation package.
