Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a Head of Performance Marketing to lead PPC and SEO for diverse clients. You will supervise the PPC and SEO strategists, set the quality bar, and own the function from strategy to client delivery and budget governance.

This is a management seat, not an IC role. You will drive audits and reporting accuracy, address at-risk accounts, guide channel strategy and hiring plans, and partner with sales to define credible promises.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Experience leading a team of strategists.
• Ability to own budgets and drive client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Set quality standards, audits, reporting, and hold staff to them.
• Ensure honest reporting and GA4 attribution accuracy.
• Lead client calls when accounts are at risk and direct fixes.
• Collaborate with sales to define deliverables we can credibly offer.
• Hire and conduct first-round interviews for the team within a quarter.
