Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Consultant to create and deliver impactful performance management training resources for a large aerospace and defense manufacturer. The selected individual will design and develop engaging and visually compelling multimedia learning solutions, including instructional videos, scripts, web-based interactive courses, job aids, system demos, and quick-reference materials.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders from HR, leadership teams, and employees to develop training solutions that effectively communicate and reinforce performance management processes. This individual will apply adult learning principles and use structured instructional design methodologies, such as the ADDIE model, to produce clear, effective, and user-friendly learning content.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and produce multimedia training resources (videos, scripts, job aids, web-based interactive modules) focused on performance management topics, including goal-setting, coaching, feedback, evaluation, and pay differentiation.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, HR teams, and key stakeholders to identify training needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational policies.
- Develop clear and engaging scripts for multimedia content, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Create visually compelling job aids, guides, system demos, and quick-reference resources that clearly outline performance management processes and support employee and manager effectiveness.
- Apply internal brand standards to all visuals and graphics.
- Utilize instructional design best practices (ADDIE methodology) to create structured, measurable learning outcomes.
- Support change management initiatives related to performance management processes, including development of communication plans and maintaining content on internal platforms.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform content development and training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Multimedia Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in instructional design, training development, preferably in large corporate environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing multimedia learning content, including instructional videos, interactive web courses, and job aids.
- Proficiency in content creation tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar multimedia development software.
- Strong knowledge and experience applying adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and the ADDIE model.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards.
- Familiarity with performance management concepts, processes, and systems.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a virtual, dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
