Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP seeks a highly organized professional to support the Firm's Performance & Advancement team and coordinate performance management for attorneys.

Responsibilities include administering the viEval system, maintaining forms and data, tracking timelines, drafting communications, and ensuring data accuracy across review cycles through collaboration with HR, Accounting, and other partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years supporting performance management, professional development, or related talent functions, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services organization is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated client service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships and hold participants accountable.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Firm's performance management system (viEval), maintain forms, surveys, system data, user access, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate performance review and advancement timelines by tracking completion of activities, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Draft and distribute communications and materials related to performance management and advancement.
• Maintain performance management records, trackers, confidential files, and review resources across cycles.
• Partner with Accounting to support import of review-related data and resolve data issues.
• Research and organize historical performance data to prepare reports and presentations.
• Conduct routine data audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and update templates, forms, and resources.
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, and logistics for performance management and advancement activities.
• Collaborate with Engagement, Training and Development, HR, Accounting, and other teams.
• Maintain current rosters during the review cycle, tracking hires, departures, leaves, etc.
• Maintain real-time feedback processes and ensure feedback reaches stakeholders.
• Assist with surveys and data collection for professional development data.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
