Job summary

Winston Taylor LLP in Chicago seeks a Senior Manager of Performance & Lifecycle Excellence to lead the firm’s people operations strategy for 600+ business professionals. You will manage onboarding, offboarding, annual reviews, and data-driven retention analytics with a three-person HR team, partnering with HR Business Partners and the Director of People & Culture.

This high-visibility builder role requires strategic thinking, process design, and cross-functional collaboration with legal and IT

Qualifications

• 10+ years of People Operations and Performance Management experience.
• 5+ years leading and mentoring teams on large initiatives.
• Willing to work in-office 3–4 days per week.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services is preferred.
• Project management experience is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in HR platforms (Performance/Talent modules); VI Desktop, UKG or Workday a plus.
• Analytical skills to translate qualitative feedback into quantitative data.
• Strategic mindset balancing high-level thinking with practical execution.
• Exceptional executive communication to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle strategy from onboarding to offboarding for 600+ staff.
• Lead a 3-person Talent Operations & Performance team and coordinate with HRBPs.
• Own end-to-end performance management and automated workflows for reviews and promotions.
• Serve as Super User for Performance/Talent modules and manage communications and training.
• Provide data for year-end compensation and promote parity across departments.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to design development resources and feedback culture.
