Actalent is seeking a Technician to test appliance components in a performance and energy laboratory. The role involves planning tests, analyzing results, troubleshooting issues, and documenting procedures while communicating findings to product teams and supervisors.

You will assist in developing new test procedures and methods, maintain lab equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fully onsite Saint Joseph, MI environment.

Qualificações

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge required to disassemble appliances and troubleshoot.
• Familiarity with MS Word/Excel or Google Sheets for data input.
• Ability to assemble, repair, troubleshoot and test components.
• Experience using common hand tools in a lab setting.
• Engineering degree preferred for entry-level positions.

Responsabilidades

• Perform component testing with minimal supervision.
• Plan and execute testing based on project needs and priorities.
• Analyze test results and evaluate product performance.
• Create reports documenting test results and findings.
• Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes and potential solutions.
• Provide technical insight beyond test data and reports.
• Develop, document, and improve test procedures and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement projects within the laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities using 5S practices.
• Coordinate priorities and testing activities with supervisors and other technicians.
• Communicate testing results and findings to product teams and related departments.
