Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on performance optimization, scalability, or observability.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts (caching, concurrency, queuing, resource contention).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with performance testing tools (k6, Gatling, JMeter, Locust) and familiarity with Core Web Vitals and frontend performance monitoring.
• Experience working with metrics, logging, and tracing systems.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and systems-level problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute performance testing strategies across web, mobile, and backend systems.
• Use and maintain performance testing tools to build reproducible and scalable test suites.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack including frontend, APIs, services, and databases.
• Drive backend and infrastructure performance improvements focusing on latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Integrate performance testing and regression detection into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design profiling, tracing, and telemetry solutions using observability tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to solve performance challenges and provide hands-on support.
• Develop and promote performance engineering best practices across teams.
