Job summary

Army National Guard Units in New Mexico seeks an Auditor in the National Guard framework. This Title 5 excepted service role is part of the NM USPFO Internal Review Division and requires accounting or auditing education and professional auditing knowledge.

Candidates must have 4 years of performance auditing experience or an equivalent mix of education and training, plus qualifying accounting/auditing coursework or CPA/CIA credentials. One year of specialized experience is also required.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, auditing, or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting (may include up to 6 hours of business law)
• 4 years of experience in performance auditing or an equivalent combination
• One of: 24 hours in accounting/auditing, CPA or CIA certification, through written examination
• Specialized experience: 1 year at the next lower grade level and understanding of audit principles
