Performance and Specialty Vehicle Fabrication/Build Technician

Job Overview

This onsite role is based in Milford, MI, and involves the fabrication, integration, and mechanical/electrical support of Specialty Show Vehicles, Pace Cars, and Performance Engineering builds.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize automotive fabrication, mechanical, machining, instrumentation, and electronics skills to create specialty vehicles.
  • Make independent decisions related to your work.
  • Stay informed about product developments and industry trends.
  • Provide guidance and suggestions to team members.
  • Communicate effectively across management levels.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of automotive technician and fabrication experience.
  • 5+ years with machine shop fabrication equipment, welding (MIG and TIG for aluminum and steel), and vehicle build (mechanical and electrical).
  • Relevant technical coursework, certifications, or Journeyman status.
  • Strong mechanical and automotive skills, including sheet metal fabrication and manual machining.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, read engineering drawings, and troubleshoot during builds.
  • Leadership experience in project management and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
