Job Description
Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role
We are seeking a Performance and Specialty Vehicle Fabrication/Build Technician responsible for the fabrication, integration and mechanical/electrical support of best-in-class Specialty Show Vehicle, Pace Car and Performance Engineering builds.

Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
10+ years automotive technician and fabrication experience.
5+ years of experience with machine shop fabrication equipment, welding, one-off/prototype vehicle build, and vehicle mechanical/electrical.
Technical course work, training, professional certifications, Journeyman status or relevant experience required for candidates without a degree beyond high school.
Strong mechanical and automotive skills.
Welding including MIG and TIG with both aluminum and steel.
Sheet metal fabrication.
Proficient with manual machining.
Skilled in the operation of shop fabrication equipment (band saw, lathes, mills, press brakes).
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues during vehicle builds.
Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
Creative in solving project issues.
Demonstrated capability in leading projects, utilizing other technicians in support of achieving deliverables.
Ability to address multiple projects and achieve results with little or no supervision.
Problem solving and ability to perform root cause analysis.
Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with engineers, managers, and peers.
Ability to work in teams and independently.
Exhibit a desire to learn new skills.

Associate or Bachelors degree in a related field.
