Job summary

MediaTek Research Lab Inc. is seeking a senior leader to drive power and performance modeling for next‑gen data center products, including AI accelerators.

The role combines architecture, design and manufacturing insight to optimize silicon-to-rack performance while ensuring power efficiency. You will collaborate with system architects and cross‑functional teams to define models, validate results, and communicate strategic findings to executive leadership and key customers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in advanced SoC, CPU, GPU, AI, or accelerator products covering architecture, design and manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience in power/performance modelling of CPU/AI products; DTCO or STCO experience desirable.
• Proven track record of driving complex performance modelling solutions from concept through validation.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple disciplines and align teams around strategic product goals.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop calibrated power and performance models for data center products, including AI accelerators.
• Understand silicon to rack level vectors and enable co-optimizations with the broader team.
• Collaborate with system architects to optimize architecture, memory hierarchy, power delivery and management.
• Develop bin-split strategy for data center products including AI accelerators, CPU servers, GPUs.
• Present complex technical concepts to executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop a calibrated and validated power and performance model for data center products including AI accelerators for training and inference.
• Develop basic understanding of the various vectors that impact power and performance from silicon all the way to rack level and enable broader team to perform co-optimizations.
• Collaborate with system architects to optimize architecture with product disaggregation, memory hierarchy optimization, power delivery and management etc.
• Develop bin-split strategy for data center products including AI accelerators, CPU Servers, GPUs.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders while representing the team in technical reviews and strategic planning discussions.

Main Requirements and Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Salary range: $211,000- $356,000
• Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
