Job summary

Sul Ross State University invites applications for an Adjunct Percussions Instructor in Alpine. Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least one conferred degree in Music with woodwind, brass, guitar, or percussion as a major applied instrument area.
• Terminal degree in music or equivalent.
• A record of successful music education (K-12) teaching and professional performance experience.
• Interest and willingness to recruit and grow the program (and position).

Responsibilities

• Teach percussion lessons and percussion techniques.
• Grow the position by recruiting students.
• Assist with managing the University’s percussion equipment in partnership with the Director of Bands.
• Routine travel to the Alpine campus; schedule to be worked out with the Music Program.
