Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:* Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.* Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.* Provides impeccable guest service to all guests* Welcomes customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions and accepting orders and payments.* Prepares foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinds and blends coffee beans, brews coffee and tea and serves items to customers.* Packages food and beverages for sale.* Sells coffee and tea blends.* Cleans and restocks work area, dining area, and empties trash and sanitizes equipment and utensils.* Learns about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques to improve food quality.* Updates signage and displays to attract customers.* Takes inventory and replenishes items in display cases, at tables or behind the counter.* Adheres to all food safety regulations and quality controls.* Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
