Job summary

Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a part-time Host for swing shifts. You will greet guests, seat tables, present menus, and promote daily specials and promotions to ensure a great guest experience.

An individual could be successful if they possess the following.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**The Host greets guests, monitors server table seating rotation, seats guests with menus, silverware, drinks and special seating accommodations. The host/hostess is responsible for understanding and promoting monthly promotions and daily specials to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience. May act as cashier. Always presents a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:* Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.* Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.* Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by participating in department meetings, huddles and reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.* Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.* Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.* Observes and reports any and all unsafe behavior displayed by internal and external guests.* Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of promotions and specials.* Treats all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
