Job summary

Midstate Radiology Associates is seeking a Per Diem X-Ray Technologist for MidState Medical Center in Meriden. The role supports open shifts on a per diem basis, weekdays or weekends, with a commitment to two shifts monthly.

The compensation range is $31.00 to $46.65 per hour plus competitive shift differentials (12%-50%). The technologist will perform radiographic examinations, ensure patient safety, operate equipment, and coordinate with radiology staff to deliver quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate AMA approved radiology program.
• Registered with ARRT as Radiologic Technologist.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
• At least one year’s experience as a radiologic technologist.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiography per protocol and selects exposure factors to produce a quality image.
• Assist radiologist in complex procedures and imaging as needed.
• Maintain radiation safety and protect patients and staff.
• Maintain radiology equipment and clean/disinfect after use.
• Prepare examinations for interpretation and input data in RIS for charges.
• Operate radiology equipment and communicate with team.
