Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations across Vascular Surgery locations. The role requires independent work, strong hemodynamics knowledge, and adherence to IAC standards, with coverage across BMC Health Vascular Surgery sites.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' vascular ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, and the ability to support venous procedures while maintaining high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years performing vascular ultrasound exams, including venous treatments, in a hospital or high-volume outpatient setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Vascular Ultrasound, allied health field, or health/science; ARDMS certification required.
• Graduate of accredited vascular technology program verified by ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of vascular duplex ultrasound and physiologic examinations with accurate image acquisition and preliminary interpretations.
• Provide ultrasound guidance and support during venous procedures and ablation therapies.
• Adhere to IAC vascular testing standards and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Review images, provide preliminary interpretations, and ensure reports meet IAC standards.
• Explain procedures to patients and prepare them for testing while following clinician instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure proper stocking and safety.
• Operate and troubleshoot duplex ultrasound systems and related testing equipment; coordinate service as needed.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain certifications and CME credits.
