Brown University Health is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to support patient care on an as-needed basis at The Miriam Hospital location in Providence, RI. You will apply nursing processes, advocate for patients, and collaborate with the health team to ensure safe, effective care.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, documenting interventions, and participating in quality improvement activities while maintaining standards of care and compliance with Rhode Island regulations.

Formación

• RN license in RI or compact licensure
• Graduation from a nursing program; BSN preferred
• CPR certification (AHA BLS) required
• Knowledge of Rhode Island Nurse Practice Act and professional nursing standards

Responsabilidades

• Recognizes and reports deviations from patient norms and treatment responses; documents nursing interventions.
• Provides basic comfort and supports patient needs; involves patient/family in care decisions.
• Recognizes emergencies, initiates appropriate responses, and plans for potential needs.
• Defines nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes; modifies care plans accordingly.
• Implements and evaluates nursing interventions based on patient outcomes; documents care.
• Maintains compliance with hospital policies, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Collaborates with health team to facilitate therapeutic interventions and patient outcomes.
• Performs unit-based or hospital meetings and participates in quality improvement efforts.
