Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or NYS-accredited training in sonography to learn OB/GYN or vaginal sonography.
• Six months on-the-job experience preferred for ultrasound testing administration.
• Strong analytical and patient-safety awareness during diagnostic testing.
• Good interpersonal skills to ensure harmonious patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and exam areas; set up, clean, and adjust sonography equipment.
• Perform or assist in sonographic evaluations per clinical protocols; record results.
• Respond to patient needs during testing and document findings.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; troubleshoot non-routine issues as needed.
• Assist with training and orientation of residents and students.
