Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Sonography Technologist to prepare exam rooms and equipment, review orders, and perform high-quality ultrasound studies for a diverse patient population in Miami-Dade/Monroe Counties. You will ensure patient safety, document results, and support training of staff and residents.

ARDMS certification and BLS/CPR are required, with an AMA-accredited education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certified.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
• Ceritfied in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT or 5 years of vascular experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations.
• Review patient medical history and verify physician’s order prior to examination.
• Ensure the sonography order is complete and medically necessary.
• Inspect images for quality and proper patient data before radiologist review.
• Assist with training of new technologists and residents.
• Operate ultrasound equipment following safety guidelines and perform quality control.
