Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound studies under supervision, using ultrasound equipment to supply images and measurements that aid in diagnosis.

You will review patient data, position patients, and ensure accurate image capture for PACS, while maintaining safety and asepsis in all procedures. ARDMS certification is required; one year of experience preferred. Per diem shifts and a focus on patient-centered care are offered.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform scans and exams such as abdominal, renal, thyroid, doppler, breast and pelvic imaging.
• Reviews available clinical data from charts to guide imaging and alert providers to possible contradictions.
• Positions and instructs patient to obtain the desired diagnostic results.
• Sends imaging and technical notes to PACS and reviews daily procedures.
• Assists physicians in procedures (e.g., aspirations/biopsies) and marks ROI as needed.
