Job summary

Brown University Health in Providence, RI seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray, bone density and CT scanners for diverse patient populations. You will ensure safety, prepare contrast, position patients, and process images for radiologist review in a fast-paced academic health system.

The role requires two years radiologic experience, one year CT, and current XR/CT licenses with ARRT certification. Per diem schedule offers flexible hours in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least two years of formal training in a School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Maintains a current XR and CT license to work in the State of Rhode Island.
• Maintains ARRT and advanced level CT certification by the ARRT.
• Must be multimodality technologist (CT, BD, XR).
• Two years’ Radiologic experience and one year of CT scan experience preferred with competence in starting IVs.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT, x-ray and bone density equipment to image designated areas.
• Monitors patient and equipment during procedures for changes in condition.
• Position patients and equipment according to preprogrammed protocol.
• Process images and input information in PACS; verify images for radiologist review.
• Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
