Job summary

Atria Health in New York is seeking an experienced sonographer to join our imaging team and deliver high-quality ultrasound exams in line with safety protocols. You will operate with patient comfort and precise technique, while documenting findings and coordinating with physicians as needed.

Prospective candidates should hold ARDMS certification and have at least five years of experience; familiarity with Athena is a plus.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required.
• Minimum of five years experience.
• Experience with Philips and Canon ultrasound machines preferred.
• Compassionate and effective communicator with strong tact.

Responsibilities

• Conduct imaging in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Use proper patient positioning tools to ensure comfort and safety.
• Refer complex diagnostic questions to the physician when needed.

Specifically, you will:

• Conduct imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand
• Except as authorized by clinical management, refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional

Compensation:

• $70-80/hr

• ARDMS certification required
• Minimum of five years experience
