Job summary

Atria Health invites applications for an Imaging Technologist to support our expanding New York and eventual West Coast program. You will perform ultrasound imaging following strict safety and comfort standards, using precision techniques and advanced equipment.

The role requires a vocational diploma, current license, and RDMS/RDCS registrations, with ARRT registration. 2+ years of radiologic experience is expected, alongside strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical diploma required.
• Current license required.
• RDMS and RDCS certification required.
• Current ARRT registration required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Radiation Technologist.
• Compassionate, effective communicator with tact.
• Experience with Philips & Canon ultrasound machines; Athena preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct imaging in accordance with safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Assume responsibility for patient safety during imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to patient understanding.
• Refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional when authorized.

Specifically, you will:

• Conduct imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand
• Except as authorized by clinical management, refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional
