Job summary

Atria Health and Research Institute in New York is seeking an experienced ultrasound technologist to join our clinical imaging team. You will perform diagnostic imaging following safety protocols and ensure patient comfort and safety. Requirements include ARDMS certification and a minimum of five years' experience.

Experience with Philips and Canon ultrasound systems is preferred; Athena usage is a plus. Excellent communication, tact, and collegiality are essential.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required.

• Experience working with Philips & Canon Ultrasound machines (preferred).
• Experience using Athena (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the imaging and communicate in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand
• Except as authorized by clinical management, refer specific diagnostic, treatment or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional
