Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery to join our growing, high-volume academic trauma program at our Level II Trauma Center. This position is offered per diem.

The Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon provides specialized surgical and non-surgical care for acute musculoskeletal injuries, collaborates with multidisciplinary trauma teams, and participates in call coverage across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery preferred.
• Eligible for PA State medical licensure and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and non-surgical care for acute musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures, dislocations, and complex trauma.
• Evaluate and treat patients in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and operative settings.
• Perform fracture fixation and reconstructive procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma teams and participate in call coverage.
