Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon to join a 495-bed Level II Trauma Center in Amarillo, Texas. The role offers high-acuity trauma and acute care surgery with established patient volume and strong multidisciplinary support.

Schedule includes 24-hour shifts with about 151 shifts per year plus backup shifts. Compensation features a base salary of $544,000, plus an $80,000 Trauma Medical Director stipend, and additional earning opportunities with backup

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in general surgery
• Trauma/Surgical Critical Care fellowship preferred
• Eligible for Texas medical licensure

Responsibilities

• Provide operative and non-operative Trauma and Acute Care Surgery services
• Provide ICU care for critically injured and medically complex patients
• Lead trauma activations and manage emergency surgical cases
• Participate in ACS services and inpatient consultations
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

We are seeking experiencedTrauma & Acute Care Surgeonsto join an established surgical team at a495-bed Level II Trauma Centerin Amarillo, Texas. This opportunity offers high-acuity trauma and acute care surgery, established patient volume, predictable coverage expectations, and strong support from experienced APPs and multidisciplinary teams.

Program Highlights

Schedule

• 24-hour shifts
• Approximately151 shifts per year(12–13 shifts per month)
• Additional backup-only shifts available

Compensation

• Base Salary: $544,000 annually
• Backup-only shifts: $500/night
• Trauma Medical Director stipend: $80,000 annually
