Job summary

Regency Hospital - Florence is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient data, respond to alarms, and ensure accurate rhythm interpretations. This per diem/PRN role features 12-hour shifts and a focus on high-quality inpatient post-ICU care.

Responsibilities include watching monitors, verifying EKG interpretations with RN, and maintaining timely alarms response, with orientation and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor telemetry and respond to alarms promptly.
• Experience with basic rhythm interpretations and coordination with RN staff.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for continuously watching and ensuring timely responses to alarms.
• Verify correct identification of basic rhythms, lethal rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Complete EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QT, ST changes and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
