Job summary

Regency Hospital - Upstate in Anderson, SC is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient alarms and validate rhythm interpretations on 12-hour shifts. The role is per diem/PRN with compensation of $23.00 per hour.

Minimum qualifications include completing the EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days and passing required competencies; preferred candidates may have LPN, Paramedic, or RN nursing student background with EKG training.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies within 30 days of start date.
• Preferred background as LPN, Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.

Responsibilities

• Continuously watching and ensuring timely responses to alarms; verify identification of rhythms and artifact; maintain EKG monitor alarms.
• Continuously observe monitors and respond to alarms promptly and appropriately.
• Perform EKG interpretations including rate, rhythm, PRI, QRS, QT, ST segment, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
