Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties is a plus.
• ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years in a surgical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and sterilize all instruments before surgery.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and assist with various tasks.
• Count and manage sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Help position and drape patients appropriately for surgery.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations.
