Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician for per diem evening shifts in the operating room. You will assist with aseptic technique, scrubbing, instrument handling, and case setup under RN supervision, supporting patient care throughout procedures.

The role requires completing a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent, HS diploma or GED, and BLS certification is preferred. On-call availability and duties as assigned are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; Surgical Technologist program or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certifications: Basic Life Support preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year clinical experience or graduate of Surgical Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Aseptic technique and setup of required equipment and sterile supplies.
• Scrub, pass instruments, and assist with cases as directed.
• Pull cases, break down at end of procedures, and prep OR for next day.
• Available for scheduled on-call as required; perform other duties as assigned.
