Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a per diem Surgical/Scrub Tech for our Surgery Unit. The role monitors instrument PAR levels, cleans and sterilizes surgical instruments, and participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities while upholding Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, Surgical Technician Certification within 6 months of hire or verifiable prior experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification within 6 months of hire or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and family.
• Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurance, as necessary.
• Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when patient complains of pain.
• Adapts procedures to meet individual needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for treatment.
