RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a PD Physician Assistant to provide high-quality perioperative/postoperative care for surgery patients at the Barnabas Health Medical Group in Jersey City, NJ. The Advanced Practice Provider will function as a key team member, performing surgical first assisting and perioperative management.

Requirements include PA certification (or APN credentials as applicable), CDS, DEA, and BLS/ACLS, with RN license in NJ.

Qualifications

• Current APN Certification and RN NJ license; CDS, DEA; BLS/ACLS; RNFA certification unless surgical NP covers it.
• Current Physician Assistant Certification; CDS; DEA; BLS/ACLS.

Responsabilités

• Perform history and physical examinations in preparation for surgical procedures.
• Order appropriate laboratory, radiologic and special diagnostic tests and interpret results for the surgical team.
• See emergent consults in the ED and treat conditions within APP scope and experience.
• Communicate complicated surgical emergencies and prepare for surgery.
• Assist with inpatient daily rounds and bedside nursing coordination.
• Discharge patients in collaboration with the attending and coordinate care.
