Job summary

Burlington Public Schools in Burlington, MA is seeking a Per Diem Substitute Custodian to cover absences and perform custodial duties across school facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing floors and windows, and basic grounds tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work under the Senior Building Custodian.

This is an at-will, part-time position paying $120 per day. Starting date is immediate and is posted for all schools on an as-needed basis; Equal

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform custodial tasks in school buildings.
• Experience in cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing floor surfaces, and window cleaning preferred.
• Able to work with supervision from Senior Building Custodian.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties in assigned areas or buildings.
• Clean, dust, sweep, wash, buff, and wax floors; wash windows; change light bulbs.
• Police grounds, sweep walks, cut lawns, remove trash and snow/ice when required.

Substitute Building Custodian - Per Diem/As Needed

Working in the absence of a permanent building custodian, performs custodial duties in a small building or specified areas of a large school building. Normally works under the supervision of Senior Building Custodian. Performs duties involving cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing, buffing, and waxing floors, washing windows, changing light bulbs, policing grounds, sweeping walks, cutting lawns, removing trash, removing snow and ice. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. Opportunities are available at all schools on an as needed basis. This is an at-will position.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation:

$120 per day
